West London Islamic Centre trying to build a mosque in Greenford since 1985 but due to lack of funds never bought. In late 2004 WLIC Greenford bought the house in Greenford to pray but didn't get planning permission.

West London Islamic Centre ask me (Syed Arshad Nadeem) to joined the WLIC Greenford committee and nominate me in election but I said no because I was happy in my career and my business and I told them there is always problem occur because its difficult to please everyone and it's a tough volunteer job after a lot of persuasion, I joined and was elected as Deputy General Sectary. First thing I noted that WLIC try to build a Mosque but failed due to lack of funds. I said charity begins from home so I put my house and money as a security to secure the loan and didn't take the promotion at work because I needed to put all my effort to build a Mosque in Greenford. I convinced the committee members that we need to build a Mosque in Greenford and all members supported me to lead the project. My belief that when I die I will not take anything with me, only my good deeds, money, houses and career will all stay here and the only thing that will inshallah help me to lead me on to jannah is the good deeds that I have done for others and Muslim community.

I saw a building and land for sale for £3m and tried every possible way to raise and obtain the funds but became unsuccessful. People said that you don't have the money to buy a car and you want to buy an Aeroplane other said you are alone and nobody will help you but I never gave up; determined to build a Mosque in Greenford. It was the impossible task especially in current situation but I have done very good presentation to get loan and with the help of Allah we bought the building for £1.85m and I worked hard to save £700,000. 3 committee members Mr Tamkin Beg, Mr M Abbas Shaikh, and Mr Syed Arshad Nadeem have given their houses as security to secure the loan. I have spent nearly two years to buy the property for Greenford Mosque and have lost lot of my personal money in business due to not concentrating on business but have spent most of the time on Mosque project but I am not concerned at all I have lost money, I am doing some thing that I will take with me when I go from this world and my parents who both passed away they will be proud and hopefully I will go to Jannah That's why brothers and sisters do something good while you are alive, pray 5 times, donate to Mosque and poor, help each other, be kind to parents and community and Do Not follow the extremism as it says in Quran "...if anyone killed a person, it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind; and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole of mankind..." - The Holy Quran (Chapter 5, Verse 32). It will help you and the community.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven.
